I make work that explores my relationship to this weird, resourceful, embarrassing and mysterious body I live in. I do so with evocative materials and almost obsessive repetition.
Bio:
Nicole Havekost (b. 1970) maintains a studio in Rochester, Minnesota. Havekost has exhibited extensively throughout the United States. She earned her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA at the University of New Mexico.
Nicole Havekost is a fiscal year 2023 recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant form the Minnesota Sate Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
